Jose Cháfer, a lover of nature and the phenomena that occur in it, observes and analyses the multitude of shapes, textures and colors that are present in it.

He feels great admiration for the cyclical changes of nature because it allows all matter to be in continuous movement, transformation and evolution. He is also interested in balance, a concept that allows him to investigate the importance of visual weights, tensions and multiple possible routes to carry it out in his sculptures.

This taste for nature is closely linked to his work, as he works with materials found in nature, such as wood and stone.

The artist aims to introduce the viewer into his work through the forms of his sculptures, conveying the sensation of hypnosis that he himself experiences during his creative process.

His talent has allowed him to win recently (2020) the Third Prize in the International Sculpture Competition of the CAPA Foundry and to participate in numerous exhibitions and fairs such as the Queen Sofia Prize for Painting and Sculpture, ART MADRID Contemporary Art Fair, ALMONEDA Antiques Fair, art galleries and collecting, Stockholm Art Fair, among others.
